The theme gives reference to us celebrating our Golden Anniversary (something old) and the Festival's move to Spring (something new)
So, how to interpret the "Something Old, Something New" theme? Think as broadly as like, look back 50 years, what inspired you, or look at how the world, it's people and environment has evolved. Let your imagination soar!
As in previous years we are keen to see entries which include mixed medium artwork. From oil, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, pastels, chalk, graphite to newer forms of mixed mediums being employed, paint, cloth, paper, wood and found objects.
All artworks entered by the Artist must be an original work and concept of the Artist. A third party may not enter any works on behalf of an Artist. The entered work must be new (completed within the previous 36 months).
An Artist may enter into the exhibition as many artworks as they wish, however only one can be entered into each competition category. All artworks are for sale and must be individually identified on the entry form and include the hanging fee of $10 per artwork with all relevant support material.
